OLD JAFFA & TEL AVIV

On our first day, we shall start by exploring Old Jaffa, where Peter brought to life Tabitha (Acts 9:36-42). Jaffa is also where Peter had a vision and a message from the Holy Spirit telling him to accompany several messengers to Cornelius in Caesarea Maritima. Peter retells the story of his vision in Acts 11:4–17, explaining how he had come to preach Christianity to the Gentiles. After lunch, we shall explore Tel Aviv, 'the city that rose from the dunes.' We'll be visiting the historical streets like Rothschild Boulevard and important monuments next to local markets like the bustling Carmel Food Market.

Then we shall continue exploring the north and stop for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Haifa Bay area from the top of the Bahai Gardens. Then we are off to tour Ancient Acre. The Book of Acts reports that Luke the Evangelist, Paul the Apostle, and their companions spent a day in Ptolemais (Acre)  with the Christian brethren.

Next would be visiting the Church of the Beatitudes, where tradition points to the area where Jesus gave the famous Sermon on the Mount. Another stop would be to examine an ancient boat dated from Jesus' times, now on display in a nearby kibbutz. Our last stop would be the Jordan River.
