Hot Air Balloons in Israel

Bucket List Experiences

One of the best ways to experience Israel’s beautiful landscapes is from the air. So take to the skies on a hot air balloons trip and soak up spectacular scenery and ancient historic sites from a bird’s eye view.  Quiet; peaceful, and relaxing; a hot air balloon trip is a wonderful way to see and experience some of Israel’s splendid terrain.

Moreover, drifting along with gentle breezes hundreds of feet in the air, you’ll float over some spectacular scenery from the Biblical battlefields and ancient ruins of Galilee in Northern Israel to the rocky desert-scapes; Kibbutz Ruhama’s fields; and lush Bedouin farms in southern Israel’s Negev region.

Some Trips: What to Expect

So hot air balloons in Israel can be enjoyed any day of the week at sunrise in summer and sunset in winter. Flights depart from the Jezreel Valley, which is just over an hour’s drive from Tel Aviv, and last from between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the wind. Hot air balloons are piloted by fully licensed and professional pilots and reach altitudes of between 3,000 and 5,000 feet with unrivaled views.

Also, hot air balloons in Israel generally depart just after sunrise when the sky is a riot of soft pinks and oranges. Enjoy a cup of steaming coffee and rusks while you listen to a full safety briefing before taking to the skies for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Now as the sun slowly rises into the sky; you’ll have the chance to soak up some incredible panoramic views of the hills and valleys of Galilee and the Negev; ancient historic sites and ruins; and sprawling moshavim and kibbutzim that are dotted about the countryside.

Moreover, on clear days; you’ll see the cities of Nazareth and Haifa; the Sea of Galilee; and the Mediterranean Sea in the far distance. And with an expert guide will share the deep-rooted history of the areas sweeping by below and tell tales of this ancient land and its rich cultural heritage.

Finally, on landing, celebrate your unforgettable experience with a traditional post-flight ‘LaHaim’! In other words,  a glass of champagne and enjoy a laid-back country-style breakfast in a picturesque setting. When you are ready to depart; a complimentary transfer to your vehicle in an open-topped jeep is included.

Also, a range of hot air balloon trips is offered from standard observation; sunrise, and sunset flights to special ‘glow show’ flights; deluxe VIP packages; and multi-day ballooning safaris that span a couple of days. Hot air balloon flights for individuals, couples and groups in Galilee are available every day; while flights in the Negev are available upon request.
