Israel Best Med Sea Beaches

my secret places

What are the best Med Sea beaches in Israel? After an excellent private tour of Caesarea, I always like to take my guests to one of my favorite beaches north of Tel Aviv. The beach is just where the Roman Aqueduct is, and that beach is free. But there are no amenities or restaurants and not even a restroom. If you want something more accommodating, go to the northern entrance of Caesarea National Park, and there you’ll access the shoreline (with a fee) that has restrooms and restaurants all of them at walking distance. For sure, this one of the ways to end a guided tour of Caesarea and make a great Israel private tour.

Best Med Sea Beaches in Israel: Jisr Az-Zarqa

One of the ultimate Mediterranean Sea beaches in Israel is in Jisr Az-Zarqa. The beach is located in an Arab town just north of Caesarea. The Israel National Trail passes right through here and with perfect reason. On my Northen Sea Shore Private Tours, I always say to my guests that the shoreline here is rare and offers complete isolation. Officially it’s the only Arab community you can find along the coastline of Israel. The town started as a small village established in the 1870s.

They use to live on the edge of the marshland till the Jewish colonizers dried it up. The founders were not coming from a uniform origin. Some came from Samaria; another family came from Egypt and Sudan. And one last family were bedouins from the Jordan Valley. Because of their excellent relations with the Jewish colonies like Zichron Yaakov and Binyamina, they were able to stay during the 1948 war.

I remember I went once with a private touring this town. And I was thinking to myself out loud,  that you wouldn’t find lots of tourists. But there is a guest house you can stay there in 2014. You can get to the beach either by walking along the shoreline for 30 min from Caesarea or 10 minutes drive from Caesarea.

Best Med Sea Beaches in Israel: Gedor Sea Reserve

The coastal reserve Gedor Sea Reserve is partly part of Sharon Park, and it focuses on the kurkar cliff that runs along the shoreline. The cliff reaches its peak at Tel Gedor, which rises to a height of 33 meters. Imagine Picturesque coves rich in marine animals. A flowering path of the coastal lily climbing between the coastal cliffs. Apart from the tranquil waves; there are the amazing cliffs where are the remains of an ancient settlement that gave its name to the Tel Gador Reserve.
