So again you will be surprised but yes! The Cities like Jerusalem like the rest of Israel are a safe place to visit. with that said, I would stay away from areas that are known to have some friction with the Palestinians like communities next to the Gaza Strip or areas in the Westbank that are near Palestinian communities.
