The Bloomfield Science Museum in Jerusalem is an educational institution that focuses on the subjects of science and technology. Established in 1992 and named for its principal donor, Neri Bloomfield, the museum is home to a wide range of interactive exhibits and activities that invite visitors to explore the world of science and technology.



Bloomfield Science Museum is Located opposite the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the Givat Ram neighborhood, the museum features several wings, a state-of-the-art Imax Theater, and a Science Garden. Two of the largest wings are display halls for the museum’s permanent and rotating exhibitions.



Bloomfield Science Museum: Exhibitions

Indoor and outdoor exhibits at the museum delight visitors of all ages. You will see huge bubbles produced by chains and sticks at the bubble-making corner. In addition, you will learn how illusions are created; how they work on the brain, and why buildings don’t fall.



In addition, Don’t miss having a look at Space Mezuzah attached to the entrance of The Bloomfield Science Museum Jerusalem. This Mezuzah flew 7,000,000 miles! When it accompanied astronaut DR. Jeffery Hoffmann of NASA on flight STS-51-D of the shuttle “Discovery” in 1985.

There is an equipped resource center; several exhibit workshop areas. In addition a state-of-the-art multi-media auditorium where demonstrations, dramas, films, and conferences are hosted. The museum hosts programs on science-related topics throughout the year; as well as a special night science program by the European Union.
