Gan Hashlosha National Park

Touring Israel

Gan HaShlosha National Park is considered one of the most beautiful places in all of Israel. It is so incredibly beautiful that some believe that it is the location of the Garden of Eden. Once you enter the park it is easy to see why it got such a name. When visiting the Gan HaShlosha National Park you will not only get to revel in its spectacular beauty, but you will get to take a journey back in history by visiting the archaeological museum and Tel Amal.

Gan Hashlosha National Park  – the Spot in Hot Summers

Whether you are looking to swim in the warm pools, have a picnic on the lush lawns, or learn about Israeli history, this is the perfect location for any visitor. Many tourists come to enjoy the stunning, spring-fed pools that are 28°C year-round. The constant, warm temperature of the pools is why Gan HaShlosha National Park is nicknamed “Sachne” as it literally means “hot pool.”

There are various pools for your swimming pleasure, from shallow pools to deep swimming areas, which is ideal for all levels of swimmers. There are even waterfall showers! Gan HaShlosha National Park is heaven on earth if you are traveling solo, with a partner, or with the whole family.

Kibbutz Tel Amal Tower and Stockade Settlements

Moreover, the Kibbutz Tel Amal in Gan HaShlosha National Park was the first of the Tower and Stockade Settlements. What are those? During the Arab revolt, when the Arab’s were taking action to prevent Jewish immigration into Israel, Zionist institutions were scared to send new settlers into dangerous areas. Luckily, the members of the Kibbutz Tel Amal group, headed by Shlomo Gerzovsky; came up with a clever idea.

So they decided to do a quick build! They would essentially prepare everything they needed to construct a kibbutz from the dining room to the tower to the fence in advance. Then, early in the morning, they could take a convoy out to the new location and set it all up in ONE day! Furthermore, the “Tower and Stockade” method was such a success that it was adopted by the Haganah organization and led to 50 more settlements!
