Tel Aviv's Markets

Everybody loves a good market, right? Jaffa flea market (Shuk Hapishpishim) is exactly the place to visit then! The sights and sounds, the hustle and bustle; the thrill of bargaining. In addition the gifts you would never usually find in an ordinary market. Not to mention the smells and fresh food you have all around the market. Luckily for you, Jaffa’s flea market offers exactly that kind of experience!

Jaffa flea market (Shuk Hapishpishim) in Tel Aviv is a flea market where various objects, clothes, and furniture items, new and used, are sold. The market is located just outside old town Jaffa. As a private tour guide in Israel, I love taking my guests to check out the market is super fun and different. Besides the area has a great vibe and even though you’re not a shopper, still there is lots to see there and enjoy the atmosphere!

More About Jaffa flea market (Shuk Hapishpishim)

This port-side neighborhood of alleyways, covered walkways, and outdoor verandas has been operating for more than 100 years across the same sprawling streets. The emblematic mirrored canopy houses many stalls; a mixture of junk shop, antique fair, jumble sale, and old school market all rolled into one. Furthermore, it’s open six days a week, from Sunday through Friday; from morning through early evening hours; this is where to go for finding those unique, one-of-a-kind items from long ago.

Nahalat Binyamin Market

And you know the old saying, one man’s garbage is another man’s treasure! This marketplace is filled daily with tourists and locals alike, all seeking the perfect (don’t forget to bargain for it!) purchase that captures the charm and magic of this unique shuk.

Recently a number of trendy furniture and clothing shops have cropped up alongside vendors selling traditional Arabic pottery and ceramic items. Restaurants and coffee shops line the streets for weary shoppers to refresh and watch the crowds go by.The combination of the original architecture and hustle ‘n’ bustle; combined with the diversity of objects on offer and great views of the old town Jaffa make the Jaffa Flea market an interesting place to visit.
