After you toured the entire Golan Heights and did some exploring. Now it’s time for some cool things to do at the Golan. One great option is to go on a nice hike (If it’s not too hot). A nice trail with lots of water and natural waterfalls Nahal El-Al. The Stream is the southernmost river in the Golan Heights. In addition, the canyon which is part of the stream is between the communities Eliad and Avnei Eitan has been named as an “Eli-Al Nature Reserve, if you have time you should explore that as well.

Things to Do in the Golan Heights

Named after an abandoned Syrian village south of the river. In addition at the foot of the waterfalls and in the stream are impressive pools of water; surrounded by trees and vegetation. Prominent in the river landscape are the remains of orchards of the abandoned Syrian villages of El Al and Jidia – mainly olive groves, but also pomegranates, sabras, almonds, and more.

Another fun option is horseback riding in the area. Kibbutz Merom Golan offers such an experience. You need to get in touch with their Ranch at 052 851 4434. The tours are between an hour and sometimes more for experienced riders. For an hour it costs 170 NIS.
