The Best Wine Tour in Judea!

Touring Israel

Hello you all! I invite you to join me this time on the best wine tour in Judea. As a private tour guide to be honest I am quite picky about my wine. And after touring so many years all over the country I found two in Judea there are really love and come back to each time I have gests I am touring with. So which one I recommend you must go to? So my first is Flam Winery!

The Best Wine Tour in Judea: Flam Winery

A visit to Flem Winery is a delicious and special multi-sensory experience. In addition, the winery is surrounded by vineyards and is located in the heart of the wine region of the Judean Mountains. At the winery, you will find a relaxed family atmosphere; an inviting foyer, and a terrace overlooking the vineyards. The winery is also the owner’s home, the place where their wines are born; and as such is the right place to taste them.

Whether in the elegant foyer or on the open terrace in front of the spectacular view of the Jerusalem olive trees, they will be happy to host you and taste with you the selection of their wines. As part of the hospitality, Flam Winery offers the customers who are interested in expanding their wine horizons; paid professional wine tastings. The wine tasting at Flem Winery is a professional, instructive, and enriching experience. During you will review the history that led to the establishment of the winery, the uniqueness of the establishment of this family boutique winery, and the winemaking vision that drives them.

The Best Wine Tour in Judea: Clos De Gat Winery

Clos De Gat Winery is located on the slopes of the Judean Mountains and its vineyards border the Ayalon Valley. In the hills sloping into the valley, grapes have been grown for thousands of years. In fact, an ancient winepress over 3,000 years old is located in the winery area. A combination of a thin layer of soil that covers limestone and an unusual microclimate, allows the cultivation of wine grapes, particularly of high quality.

In 1998, Kibbutz Harel, in collaboration with Eyal Rotem; renovated an old Arab building that served as Yitzhak Rabin’s headquarters in Operation Harel; around which the vineyards were planted and the winery building was built. Furthermore, the varieties of vines planted include Cabernet Sauvignon; Merlot; Petit Verdot; Syrah, and Chardonnay. The grape varieties were adapted to the different plots after testing and examining the suitability of soil and climatic conditions for each variety and variety.

Hopefully, we could tour together and try these two wineries that personally consider the best in the area. Coming from Tel Aviv it’s a 30 minutes drive to get to these wineries and we can combine a nice lunch as well as a part of the tour. If you’re want to know more or need other nice wineries to go to in the area; feel free to contact me.
