Best Restaurants in Galilee

the ultimate foodie guide

In Galilee, there are timeless archaeological ruins and interesting museums. But honestly, the most important attractions in Galilee are the restaurants. From the hole-in-the-wall Falafel Joints to the impossible-to-get reservations high-end and highly rated restaurants. Israel is truly the Holy Land of some of the best food in the world. On your next trip, whether you’re heading to the rolling hills of Judaea, to the ever-bustling Old City Jerusalem narrow alleys, or to unwind on the Coasts of Tel Aviv, these are the most essential restaurants in the Promised Land!

So are you ready for the ultimate culinary experience in Galilee!? Trust me after reading this guide about the best restaurants in Galilee you’ll be all set! You should note that Israel is known for amazing food and it’s all true. Indeed the food in Israel is out of this world. When I tour Galilee I always stop in one of my favorite restaurants because I always tell my guests that getting to know a country is by all five senses. So here are my favorite restaurants to eat in Galilee.

Best Restaurants in Galilee: Bella Restaurant

Arguably the most famous restaurant in Galilee, Bella is an Italian culinary masterpiece. Serving a wide menu of different kinds of Pasta; crispy pizza; fresh fish. Bella says their food is a “narration of the Italian food flavored and with Israeli passion.” The menu is surprising and spectacular. Perched on the very edges of the Jezreel Valley next to Beit Shearim National Park makes the perfect spot for a rest. Here is a link to their website!

Magdalena Restaurant

Yet another great place that is on my shortlist of best restaurants in the Galilee Region is Magdalena Restaurant. Not so far from the biblical town of Magdala where Mary Magdalene, lies one of the most coveted dining rooms in Galilee: Magdalena. With a curated wine list by award-winning sommelier and a menu put together by executive chef Joseph (Zuzu) Hena. Magdalena harnesses the best Mediterranean ingredients and local flavors to serve emotive, passionate cuisine. Magdalena is the only restaurant worth checking out on the western shores of the Galilee. The restaurant offers sweeping views of the Sea of Galilee as diners enjoy the delicious courses.

Tibis Restaurant

Tibis proudly say “they live the Galilee.” And they truly know how to pamper their guests. They are always on an ongoing journey to find the finest ingredients; making sure to prepare everything themselves. And most of all – they love good food and people who know how to enjoy it. Tibis that was founded by chef Chaim Tibi and Roey Cohen in 2013, collects daily fresh vegetables from local farms; exceptional imported flours, raw materials from local farms and producers, excellent wines from Israeli wineries, and pasture-raised meat.

Best Restaurants in Galilee: Chateau du Roi

Another restaurant I think is worth checking out when touring the Galilee region is Chateau du Roi. A splendid restaurant if you’re way up north and you want some delicious, high cuisine food. This restaurant is for real foodies that wish to savor their paladar in the proper way when you end a tour in Israel.
