The Healing of the Paralytic at Bethesda took place in a pool of water called Bethesda in Jerusalem, and an angel was believed to stir up the waters occasionally. The first person to enter the pool after this stirring would be healed of any ailment they had.

One day, Jesus was in Jerusalem and saw a man paralyzed for 38 years lying beside the pool. Jesus asked him if he wanted to be healed, and the man replied that he had no one to help him into the pool when the waters were stirred. Jesus then told the man to get up, pick up his mat, and walk.

Miraculously, the man was healed, and he got up and walked. This healing caused controversy among the Jewish religious leaders because it happened on the Sabbath, a day of rest that was considered unlawful to work or heal.

In this story, Jesus demonstrates his compassion for the suffering and shows his divine power to heal. The healing of the paralytic at Bethesda is considered one of the seven signs in the Gospel of John, which points to Jesus’ divinity and mission on earth.
