APT was by far the best tour my wife and I have ever had anywhere. It was our 50th wedding anniversary that took place during our 52nd year because of covid. We took our kids and grandkids, a total of ten and Avi was our tour guide us for eight full days. He exceeded our expectations! Some days were long but he was absolutely fabulous. His English is excellent! His knowledge of Israel and all the biblical possibilities that could be interpreted differently is fantastic and his explanations were so clear. He would read passages and explain the archeological findings of when, where, and any other possible explanations. He is certainly a knowledgeable man with an understanding of all of the bible! I have family in Israel so I have traveled there dozens of times. I often hire a private guide. My most recent trip was with Arik Group Tours, and they are the best I have ever had. Arik's guides are so knowledgeable about this country. they can tell you about the history, the religions, the archeology and the politics. they speaks English almost as well as a native speaker. their English vocabulary is amazing. This was my first trip to Israel. We toured with Avi for 8 days which we spent in Jerusalem, Masada, Tzvat, the Golan Heights, the Raman Crater, Tel Aviv/Jaffa, Akko (Acre) and more! It was an extraordinary experience. Avi's depth of knowledge about regional history, archaeology, Israeli politics, religious perspectives, geology and more is encyclopedic. However, this was anything but a droning recital of endless facts. Avi was enthusiastic, personable and attentive to what we wanted to experience. He also directed us to interesting restaurants - from the local falafel places to great seafood by the Mediterranean. We appreciated his flexibility and also being taken to intriguing sites that were way off the beaten path -- the secret underground ammunition factory, St. George's Monastery carved out of a remote cliffside (wow!), the amazing Crusader buildings in Akko. We saw five (5!) UNESCO sites, all greatly enriched by Arik's expert guidance. There is a world of difference in a personalized experience with a great guide and being on a bus. If you're looking for a "trip of a lifetime" experience, I highly recommend Avi be your guide. He was truly exceptional, the best guide I've experienced in many years of travel.
